Good to know

- Smaller and Smallest turn pages into pictures (120 and 80 DPI), so searchable text, links and editable fields are lost. Flecto explains this before it proceeds.
- Flatten makes form fields and annotations part of the page. It can make the file larger.
- Metadata and digital signatures are not guaranteed to survive.
Questions
Does Flecto upload my PDF to shrink it?
No. The size of each option is calculated in temporary files on your PC, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Will I lose text I can search?
Only if you choose Smaller or Smallest, which turn pages into pictures. Keep quality does not rasterize the pages.
Can I reduce images and videos too?
Yes. Reduce size is also available for supported single-frame images and for videos, where it creates a smaller MP4.
