Privacy Notice

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Flecto converts files on your own computer. This notice explains the little information we do handle. The operator of Flecto is an individual developer. You can reach us at info@myflecto.com.

Your files

Files you convert are processed locally. Conversions do not upload your files. If you connect Google Drive and choose Upload, the selected files and their names are sent directly to Google Drive, not through our servers.

What we collect

  • Account email. If you sign in or buy Flecto Pro, we store your email address to send sign-in codes and to link your licence.
  • Licence and device data. We store your licence status and an identifier for each PC you activate (up to 2) so we can enforce the licence limit.
  • Usage statistics, only if you opt in. Conversion types, outcomes, durations, size ranges, error categories, app and Windows versions, language and country. These are linked to a random PC identifier and, when signed in, your account. They do not include file names, paths or contents. Turning statistics off deletes the local queue and requests deletion of previously sent statistics.

Google sign-in and Google Drive

If you choose Google sign-in, we use your Google account identifier and email to authenticate you and link your Flecto account. Optional Google Drive uploads are a Pro feature. We request only the drive.file permission, which permits access to files created by Flecto or explicitly shared with it, not unrestricted access to your Drive.

When you choose Upload, Flecto sends your selected file contents and names directly to Google and places them in a Flecto folder. Drive authorization tokens are encrypted locally using Windows account protection. They are not sent to our licence server. Disconnect in Settings to remove local credentials and request revocation; if the network is unavailable, revoke access in your Google account. Disconnecting does not delete uploaded files; you can delete them in Google Drive.

Google user data is used only to provide sign-in and the Drive features you request. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Flecto's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Local file history

The file log stores recent successful output paths and conversion details on your PC. Use Clear log to remove it; this does not delete your files.

Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record. Paddle collects and handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see your card number.

How long we keep data

Opt-in usage statistics are kept for up to 14 months. Account and licence records are kept while your account is active and as long as needed to meet legal and tax obligations.

Service providers

We use Cloudflare to host this site and our licence service, Resend to send sign-in emails, and Paddle for payments. They process data only to provide those services.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by emailing info@myflecto.com. We will reply within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this notice, we will update the date above.
